Mandatory club services

Every senior member (members between the ages of 18 and 70) is expected to perform at least 10 hours of club service.

Club services include bar duty, table service during tournaments, and park maintenance. The number of hours per activity varies, with bar duty typically lasting 4 hours and park maintenance typically lasting 2 hours.

  • You can register for club duties in the following way and immediately see how many hours you still have to complete this year: Via the website: SV P.V.D.V or via the KNLTB app under the heading “diensten”. There you can see exactly how many points you need to earn and how many you have already earned through your services.

  • Those who are not members for the entire year will receive a pro rata exemption from club duties. A request for this can be emailed to info@PVDV-Utrecht.nl, addressed to Marian Mons, the secretary of the Board.

  • The canteen is open at least four evenings a week, from Monday to Thursday. In the app, you can see which bar shifts are still available and sign up for them.

  • Everyone who works behind the bar must have completed the “Responsible Alcohol Serving” training course. You can complete this free e-learning course via the following link: https://verantwoordalcoholverkopen.nl/sport/# / Obtaining this certificate requires minimal effort! Before your first bar shift, email this certificate to the bar committee at bar@pvdv-utrecht.nl. There is a folder with all the certificates in print behind the bar. You can, of course, print it at home and bring it with you. Certificates do not expire.

  • Once you have registered for a service, you remain responsible for this service. If you are unable to attend or are ill, you are responsible for finding a replacement. You can email the name of the replacement to commissies@PVDV-utrecht.nl, for the attention of Nicole Palar of the Board. Nicole will ensure that the correct person is awarded the correct points.

  • No-show penalty. If a member fails to show up for a scheduled service, a penalty of €50 per shift will be imposed for the first two occasions. This no-show penalty will be automatically applied during the next collection round.

  • If the member has been fined twice and fails to show up for the third time, their pass will be automatically blocked until the member has completed their 10 hours of club duties. It will then not be possible to reserve lanes.

  • The parents of youth members will be responsible for bar duties during the youth competition, in consultation with the youth committee.

  • Cleaning will continue to be carried out by an external party, as is currently the case. We are looking into whether additional cleaning services can be scheduled that can be carried out by members, such as periodic window cleaning. If you are interested in supporting the cleaning team for club service points, please send an email to info@pvdv-utrecht.nl.

It is possible to buy off club hours.

  • It is possible to buy off services in advance. For €100 per year (10 points), you can buy off club services. You can use the Buy Off Club Services form for this purpose. After buying off, you will be removed from further mailing lists.

  • If you wish to make use of the buy-out scheme, the responsibility for using this service lies with the member.

  • A reminder for a buy-out moment will be sent halfway through the year.

  • Anyone who has not earned all their points by the end of the year must pay the outstanding balance of points at €10 per point, plus €25 in administration costs for the extra work.

  • The 2026 club service policy will be evaluated by the Board in October 2026 and adjusted if necessary.
